The Geiger Brothers Fabrication Division offers full service pipe and structural steel fabrication shops. Our facility contains the latest in manual and semi-automatic welding equipment.
Our expert welders are qualified under a multitude of procedures for work on carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum and a variety of special alloys with various processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW).
We orient our fabrication operations to our customers’ needs, and as such remain adaptable to unusual scheduling requirements and differing priorities. We are known for reliable service, on-time deliveries and quality.
Geiger Brothers continues to update its shops with the most advanced equipment and techniques to further our efficiency and quality and to assure we deliver the best to our customers.
Our engineering capabilities consist of module and process design, either as a complete responsibility or as support to customer engineering, with full engineering documentation support.
Using computer-based estimating and drawing software, we can generate material lists, estimates and accurate proposals for our clients, and so can order the correct needed materials and parts before fabrication has begun.
Our AutoCAD©-based software, geared toward pre-fabrication and documentation of piping systems, provides us with many advantages. It allows us to quickly and accurately produce three-dimensional models of our work, affording us the ability to view the installation before construction begins. Large problems and small details become very clear and can be addressed.
Bridge Truss Rehabilitation
We can provide full Quality Assurance traceability as may be required. We contract externally with well-known inspection agencies for visual and non-destructive examination (radiography, magnetic particle and other techniques) and AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) oversight.
Our pipe fabrication shop welders have at their disposal numerous fit-up tools and automated welding equipment, assuring fast and accurate spool production. For the food processing, chemical, nuclear and other industries, we work to the typical piping manufacturing standards including ASME B31.1 Power Piping, B31.3 Process Piping, B31.5 Refrigeration Piping, and B31.9 Building Services (Utility) Piping.
Our structural steel fabrication shop capabilities range from simple to complex -- supports, hanger assemblies, building structures, bridge components, stairs and railings. The Geiger Brothers structural steel fabrication division has been certified to the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) Standard for Steel Building Structures.
Prior to delivery, we clean the pipe and structural steel fabrications per code or client specifications, whether it be wire brushing to light, medium, or heavy blasting, and then self-apply or subcontract the primer and sometimes finish coating as required by the customer.
