Over the past 30 years, Geiger Brothers employees have completed a number of various projects for the operating and construction contractors at the U. S. Department of Energy’s gaseous diffusion uranium enrichment plant in Pike County, Ohio. Geiger Brothers now is undertaking work for the owner and construction contractors on the United States Enrichment Corporation (USEC) American Centrifuge Project at the Pike County site.

Geiger Brothers has been responsible for work under nearly 20 contracts for the depleted uranium hexafluoride (DUF6) conversion facility built by Uranium Disposition Services, LLC (UDS) for the U. S. Department of Energy at the Piketon site. Geiger Brothers contracts have included underground piping; temporary office installation and then electrical supply; cylinder yard fencing; the site maintenance and warehouse building and systems; the conversion building foundations; the potassium hydroxide (KOH) building foundation; the KOH building structure; conversion building floor topping; the conversion building heating, ventilation and air conditioning system; the conversion fire protection and detection system; roadways and drainage; natural gas and firewater piping; the conversion building architectural finishes package; instrument calibration; the final site exterior package; and finish painting. Through other contracts, Geiger Brothers also provided construction and commissioning support.

Geiger Brothers also was awarded the UDS contract to fabricate and supply all welded large bore process piping for both the Piketon and Paducah sites. Working under two other supply contracts, Geiger Brothers fabricated all exterior stairs for the Portsmouth and Paducah projects.
