  • OHIO UNIVERSITY PHASE 1 HOUSING PROJECT

    PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Geiger Brothers continues its key role in completing major work projects on the five-building, $116 million Phase 1 dormitory project on Ohio University’s Athens Campus.

As a joint venture partner, Geiger Brothers performed the design assist and construction contracts to complete the heating, ventilating and air conditioning  (HVAC) and plumbing contracts for the new dormitories and learning center.

The first phase of Ohio University’s extensive plan to reshape its on-campus student housing includes the construction of four new residence halls and a common Learning Center. The dormitories, with a total of 900 beds, are opened in the fall of 2015.

Under separate contracts, Geiger Brothers has construction responsibility for concrete foundations, structural steel erection, site utilities on and off campus, including buried chilled water and steam/condensate services; and additional support services for Corna Kokosing Elford on this important, high-profile project.
